Dr. Gyamfi, pronounced JAM-FEE, grew up in Calgary, Alberta where she spent countless hours in her late uncle’s practice, which sparked a deep interest in dentistry. After completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Biology, she moved to New York City to complete her training as a dentist at New York University College of Dentistry. It is here where she solidified her passion for dentistry and most importantly community outreach.

Her work is deeply grounded in the belief that dentists have the responsibility to serve their community through the cultivation and maintenance of relationships. During her time at NYU, Dr. Gyamfi worked in the “Survivors of Torture” clinic, which provided her with the opportunity to practice in a diverse environment where treatment must extend beyond the scope of dentistry. Her experiences in this clinic challenged her understanding of human behaviour, inspiring her to forge her own clinical philosophy based on humility, compassion and kindness.

When Dr. Gyamfi isn’t working with patients she enjoys film photography and playing outdoors.
