Prevention and Health Promotion Conference 2017: “Engage”

This conference will allow youth service providers to engage in workshops related to key issues youth face on a day-to-day basis and garner the skills to enhance their ability to engage with them.

This workshop takes place on Friday, February 24th at the Aldergrove Community Secondary School.

Here is an example of some of the workshops available:

Experiential Learning Workshop: This workshop will teach participants communication and team-building skills through experiential learning.

Self-Regulation Workshop: This workshop will focus on self-regulation tools and skills which are necessary for optimizing students’ learning.

Anxiety Workshop: This workshop will provide participants with practical skills, strategies and greater awareness about how anxiety affects youth and practical strategies you can use to engage with youth who are experiencing anxiety.

LOVE BC Workshop: This workshop will use media arts as a vehicle for healthy self-expression and create meaningful dialogues on anti-violence and social justice.
