The seasonal Canadian Tastebuds events highlight those diverse foods and customs that we all bring to the table. The museum will be dressed for Halloween with the spotlight on pumpkins – abundant during October – both for food and decor. Candy has also become a central component of the season and staff will connect historic recipes to local and diverse cultural histories, and in honour of Halloween will be making Caramel Pastillas, a Filipino candy. There will also be pumpkin spice drinks and Devil’s Food cake.
