The Mayor’s Souper Sampler is CSC’s annual October fundraising event featuring local soups, entertainment, a kid’s corner and more. Restaurants and caterers compete for two titles: Best Soup, which is judged by a panel including the Cambridge Mayor, as well as the People’s Choice Award which attendees vote for using their spare change.

The seasonal Canadian Tastebuds events highlight those diverse foods and customs that we all bring to the table. The museum will be dressed for Halloween with the spotlight on pumpkins – abundant during October – both for food and decor. Candy has also become a central component of the season and staff will connect historic recipes to local and diverse cultural histories, and in honour of Halloween will be making Caramel Pastillas, a Filipino candy.
